Applications
Fluke Connect for real-time, location-independent data.
When maintaining systems and devices, cross-competence teamwork can help to solve problems more quickly. Depending on the size of the team, the variety of locations or the number of measuring devices used, the question arises of an efficient software application to support careful analysis of the measurement data. With the cloud-based software solution Fluke Connect, measured values and images from compatible Fluke devices can be transferred in real time to a smartphone, tablet or PC. Technicians and managers can access all relevant information simultaneously and from any location.
Evaluate measurements across locations
For users of Fluke measuring devices, Fluke Connect is a convenient software solution for real-time data monitoring and documentation. The software collects the measured values and recorded images from compatible thermal imagers, digital multimeters, current/voltage and temperature measuring devices and process calibrators. Maintenance managers, technicians or administrators can use Fluke Connect to access the same measurement data simultaneously via smartphone or PC and evaluate the system status together. The data exchange is cloud-based and therefore independent of the respective location. The logs and reports created can be forwarded quickly and efficiently to the end customer.
Cloud-based data organization
Fluke Connect works online on external servers and is updated automatically, so no special IT support is required. However, companies must ensure that data protection regulations are complied with and that all user rights are carefully managed. Alternatively, Fluke Connect can also be installed as a client application on a PC that is intended for reading out the devices, for example. Data storage in the cloud is encrypted and protected by modern security features such as integrated firewalls and multi-factor access control. The multi-level security system ensures that data can only be accessed with authorized access rights.
Not only measurement data can be stored in the cloud, but also useful device information such as digital operating instructions or application reports. This turns Fluke Connect into a mobile, time-saving knowledge database. Firmware updates for Fluke devices can also be installed via the software.
Targeted maintenance planning
The Fluke Connect system works as a combination of software and measuring devices. Data is saved in the respective device logs by simple control via the cell phone display. Maintenance managers receive an overview of the state of their system and devices - with target values, current measurement results and historical data from previous inspections. Manual recording of measurements is not required, ensuring a complete and correct device history. For example, current thermal images on the smartphone can be compared with historical data and trends can be derived that indicate possible device failures.
With Fluke Connect, individual maintenance measures can be aligned with the actual condition of the system and designed in a much more targeted and cost-efficient manner in terms of preventive maintenance. System errors or operational failures can be detected and avoided at an early stage.
Safely monitor danger zones
The Fluke Connect system also offers safety-relevant advantages, as location-independent access to measurement data enables a safe working distance from critical plant areas. While the measuring device is placed in the risk area, the recorded data can be called up, analyzed and shared on the cell phone display at a safe distance - even across buildings, for example. User-defined reports can be created directly from the transmitted analysis data using correct, traceable measured values.
Manage systems and devices in a structured way
With the extended software version Fluke Connect Assets, the potential of Fluke Connect can be fully exploited. In addition to data organization and reporting, a dashboard function provides a summary of all status data of existing assets and devices. You get an overview of the status of the equipment including ongoing information. The overview can be filtered according to the severity of the equipment status, which makes it much easier to prioritize the necessary maintenance measures.
Structuring by assets (= asset tagging) is therefore used to organize not only measurement data, but also the test specimens. Asset analysis is carried out by visualizing the various measurement parameters, including electrical and mechanical variables or temperature values, sorted according to the individual devices. Maintenance managers can compare the measurement data for each device and make informed decisions about the need for repairs.
Summary
The Fluke Connect system is a combination of cloud-based software and compatible Fluke measurement tools that helps maintenance technicians and managers organize measurement data in an online database. The data can be shared with a relevant group of people in real time, regardless of location, to speed up measurement evaluation when maintaining systems and devices. Maintenance managers receive an overview of the condition of their equipment, including current measurement results and a complete history of past inspections. User-defined reports can be created from the transferred analysis data in just a few steps and the generated reports can be forwarded to the end customer quickly and efficiently.
