dataTec: Where work and home are in harmony.

dataTec has launched a campaign to attract qualified specialists and shape its future growth. The basic idea: „Make a career with a work-home balance“. We asked dataTec Head of Marketing Roland Bertler what's behind it.

Mr. Bertler, the term "work-life balance" is part of today's vocabulary when it comes to quality of work and life. You have a slightly different focus with „work-home balance“. What is home for you?

Roland Bertler: First of all, for me, home is associated with strong positive feelings. And I believe that applies to everyone. At the same time, home is something different, highly subjective and personal for everyone. Home is where we feel at home, secure, where we know our way around, where we meet our friends, have our club and our work – and last but not least, our family.

So you reconcile the world of work at dataTec and home, the center of our lives, so to speak?

Roland Bertler: That's the way it is. Whether at our headquarters in Reutlingen, in the Munich office, in the field service or in our European branches – the people who work for us should feel comfortable. We have big growth plans for the coming years and are convinced that this will only work with people who are happy at work. Because they are willing and able to achieve great things. That's what we need more than ever: motivation and a good working atmosphere. This also includes many benefits and the security of a solidly growing employer.

„People who are doing well at work are also willing and able to achieve great things.“

Roland Bertler | Head of Marketing

Although this is already working more than well. You have been a prosperous company for many years – that is only possible with performance-oriented employees.

Roland Bertler: That's right, and that's exactly what we want to convey credibly with our campaign. We don't engage in „social washing“ – we are the way we present ourselves: determined and professional, but also open and approachable.

What does that look like in concrete terms?

Roland Bertler: You can ask anyone you like – and we discuss this elsewhere in this magazine – at dataTec, balancing work and family or private life is simply not a problem. That is just one example of many. We set ourselves ambitious goals and we live a good, constructive working relationship. That's why work and a sense of home are easily compatible at our company. A work-home balance.
