The FLIR Si2x-Pro is an advanced acoustic imaging camera specifically designed for use in hazardous areas. It is designed to accurately detect partial discharges, leaks in compressed gas lines and mechanical defects such as bearing problems, minimizing costly downtime and increasing safety. The Si2x-Pro variant presented here is ideal for detecting leaks, mechanical faults and partial discharges. If you do not require partial discharge detection, we recommend the Si2x-LD variant (item no. T912502).
Technical specifications:
- Acoustic measurement: The camera uses 124 low-noise MEMS microphones that enable real-time sound visualization. It operates in a bandwidth of 2 to 130 kHz and offers a directional resolution of up to 0.125°. This precision makes it possible to localize the exact position of leaks and partial discharges.
- Automatic severity assessment: Thanks to artificial intelligence, the FLIR Si2x-Pro can automatically assess the severity of partial discharges and provides recommendations for necessary measures directly on the camera.
- Leak detection and assessment: The camera offers automatic leak detection and estimates both the size of the leak and the annual costs due to gas leakage. It detects even very small leak rates from 0.0032 l/min (at 2.5 m distance) and is compatible with various gases, including hydrogen, methane, helium and nitrogen.
- Imaging and optics: The integrated 12 MP digital camera captures color images and has an 8x digital zoom. With a field of view of 75° and a video refresh rate of 60 fps for the camera and 30 fps for acoustic imaging, it offers high image quality and detail.
- User interface and communication: Equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen (1280 x 720), the camera offers an intuitive user interface. It also supports wireless updates "Over The Air (OTA)" and data transfers via WLAN (2.4 and 5 GHz) and USB, allowing it to be seamlessly integrated into existing IT infrastructures.
- Data storage and power supply: With an internal memory of 128 GB and the option for external USB storage, the camera offers plenty of space for image and video data. The lithium-ion battery lasts up to 2.5 hours and can be fully charged in approximately 2 hours.
- Rugged design: The FLIR Si2x-Pro is designed for demanding environments and has an IP54 rating, which protects it from dust and splashing water. The camera can be used in temperatures from -10 °C to 50 °C and weighs only about 1.45 kg including the battery, making it comfortable to handle even during longer deployments.
- Software and analysis options: The camera offers online and offline analysis options via the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer and FLIR Thermal Studio. It enables custom reporting and supports integration with enterprise applications via API interfaces.
