Please note: This special item includes the option MDO34-3-BW-500, MDO3 series oscilloscope, 4 channel, 500 MHz bandwidth
Compact design, powerful signal acquisition and efficient signal analysis: The MDO34 oscilloscope provides you with comprehensive analysis tools for quick design characterization and identification of signal anomalies. With over 125 trigger combinations, you can quickly track down the cause of signal errors. The long recording length of up to 10 million points enables the comprehensive recording of all signal events.
For mixed-signal applications, the MDO34 offers 16 digital channels (with optional logic analyzer) in addition to the two analogue channels, enabling the simultaneous display of analogue and digital signals. Furthermore, the MDO34 has an integrated, hardware-based spectrum analyzer with a frequency range of 9 kHz to 1 or 3 GHz (optional), which supports signal analysis for IoT applications and other common radio standards.
Application areas:
- Embedded design and IoT: System-level debugging for the most common serial buses
- Power design: Reliable and reproducible measurement of voltage, current and power
- Education: combined measurement of analog/digital signals and RF measurements as well as signal source in a single device with integrated help functions for electronic basics
- Production test and troubleshooting: Space savings and reduced costs by integrating multiple instrument functions into one device
- Service, installation and maintenance: Analysis functions for analog and digital signals as well as spectrum analysis in a compact, portable design for optimal flexibility
Digital voltmeter, arbitrary function generator and power analysis:
The MDO34 oscilloscope offers an integrated 4-digit digital voltmeter (DVM) as well as a 5-digit trigger frequency counter for precise display of the frequency of the executed trigger event. Each of the analog inputs can serve as a source for the voltmeter. The same probes are used for this as for oscilloscope use. The MDO Series 3 also has an optional, integrated arbitrary function generator (AFG), which is ideal for simulating sensor signals or for generating noise signals when carrying out limit value tests. The signal generator enables the output of predefined signals up to 50 MHz and offers 128,000-point recording for loading signals from an internally stored file, a USB memory device or an external PC. The optional power analysis package enables fast and reproducible analysis of power quality, harmonics, switching loss, modulation, ripple as well as efficiency, amplitude or time measurements.
Triggering and analysis of serial protocols:
The MDO Series 3 offers an optional comprehensive set of reliable tools for common serial buses such as I2C, SPI, RS-232/422/485/UART, USB2.0, CAN, CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429 and I2S/LJ/RJ/TDM. With serial protocol triggering, you can trigger on specific packet contents, e.g. start of packet, specific address, unique identifiers or errors. The bus signal is time-correlated to all other displayed signals, making it easy to determine the timing relationships between the different parts of the system under test. Decoding tables provide a tabular view of all decoded packets from an acquisition.
