With its market-leading power density of 1.77 W / cm³, the HFE2500 is equally suitable for central and distributed high-performance architectures (DPA - Distributed Power Architecture). All HFE models are capable of parallel switching and N + 1 redundancy with ORing MOSFET decoupling and active load sharing; As a result, the power supplies are also ideal for hot-swap and redundancy requirements, for example in applications in server technology, data and telecommunications, data storage, broadcasting, military (COTS), medical or process control and automation. With their universal input (85-265 V AC), the HFE power supplies can be used worldwide. Their high efficiency (up to 93% for the HFE2500) minimizes heat loss and power consumption. The output voltage can be changed by up to ± 20% of the nominal value, so that the devices can also be adapted to special voltage requirements. The voltage value can be set via a resistor, external control voltage or via the PMBus-compatible I²C interface. The devices are equipped with overvoltage, overload and overtemperature protection as standard. For system monitoring and control, the signal outputs DC OK, AC fail, overtemperature and "PS exists" (power supply plugged in) as well as inputs for remote on / off and remote sense (compensation of a voltage drop across the output lines) are available is also possible via the optional PMBus-compatible I²C interface, which also includes an alarm in the event of a fan failure.
