SPS D2012 | Test dummy for simulating the protective conductor, insulation, high voltage and leakage current test suitable for all standard devices and test systems. The dummy can be connected via the IEC socket.

  • Insulation resistance: measuring resistance 1MOhm / 4.8W (conductor L and N against PE each 2MOhm / 2.4W), Tol: 1.5%
  • Leakage current resistance: load resistance 50kOhm / 4.8W (conductor L and N against PE each 100kOhm / 2.4W), Tol: 1.5%
  • Voltage arrester: flashover from approx. 750VAC and 1000VDC
  • Protective conductor resistance:
    - Nominal resistance range 100mOhm: Measured resistance: PASS (60-80mOhm): nom. 70mOhm / 100W | FAIL (110-130mOhm): nom. 120mOhm / 150W
    - Nominal resistance range 200 mOhm: Measured resistance: PASS (160-180mOhm): nom. 170mOhm / 200W | FAIL (210-230mOhm): nom. 220mOhm / 250W

Note: The test dummy is used to check all standard devices and test systems. It is adapted (once a day, shift change, etc.) in place of the test object and simulates the GOOD and ERROR case.

According to DIN VDE 0620-2-1 (VDE 0620-2-1): 2013-03 Appendix A (normative):
"The test facility must be tested both before and after each manufacturing period and also during continuous use, but at least once every 24 hours. During these tests, the test facility must show that it displays faulty devices when faulty products are tested or when faults are simulated. Products that were manufactured before the test facility was tested may only be released for sale if the test was successful.
The test facility must be calibrated at least once a year. A record of all tests and the necessary adjustments must be available. "

D2012 | Test dummy for HV, IS, PE, AI with good / error simulation

With the daily check of the test device by a "good / error" simulation by the test dummy, the user can assume that his products function perfectly in terms of safety and that the safety of the products is guaranteed for the end customer.

The operator of electrical test equipment is responsible for ensuring that the devices or systems used are subjected to regular functional checks. This should be done at regular intervals - preferably daily. The test dummy is a kind of "dummy test specimen" with which errors are simulated in order to recognize whether these are recognized by the test facility. For this purpose, the test dummy is connected to the test facility instead of the test specimen and then the good / error case is simulated.
