Description
SMCV100B | Vector signal generator, basic unit, 4 kHz to 3 GHz, bandwidth 60 MHz (1432.7000.02)
The vector signal generator SMCV100B from Rohde and Schwarz is used as an economical multi-standard platform for a wide range of tasks in the automotive, radio, navigation and wireless sectors. The Linux-based system can be configured by software and is suitable wherever different technologies meet, be it in the laboratory or in production.
With the basic configuration, the SMCV100B offers an output frequency of 4 kHz to 3 GHz with an RF bandwidth of 60 MHz and an output power of –110 dBm to +15 dBm. An ARB generator with 64 Msample is also included. With maximum expansion, the upper limit frequency increases to 7.125 GHz, the RF bandwidth to 240 MHz and the output power to +25 dBm. The vector signal generator SMCV100B thus also covers 5G NR applications. All upgrades are included in the device firmware and can be activated using software keycodes. The options also include a greater memory depth of up to 1 GSample for the ARB generator and an improvement in phase noise to less than -125 dBc at 1 GHz (20 kHz offset).
The DA converter enables I / Q modulation and RF signal generation in the digital domain. This achieves excellent performance parameters with regard to I / Q imbalance, residual carrier / sideband suppression and EVM. The HF signal is generated directly by the DAC up to an output frequency of 2.5 GHz; higher frequencies pass through a mixer path from the DAC.
Powerful applications for wireless and GNSS standards:
The simulation software WinIQSIM2 supports all common wireless standards including IoT applications and non-cellular signals such as Wi-Fi 802.11xx and many others with precalculated signals. Optionally, self-defined signals can also be played out via the integrated arbitrary generator. For GNSS Go / NoGo tests, the SMCV100B can generate the signals from a single navigation satellite for the GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou standards. For function tests with a fixed satellite position, e.g. B. in production, predefined, time-limited I / Q sequences can be played.
Areas of application:
- Research and training at universities, schools, etc.
- Universal broadband laboratory applications
- Communication standards such as 5G, LTE, IoT, Wi-Fi and others in mobile communications
- Manufacture and testing of receivers, set-top boxes, among others, in the radio and terminal equipment industry
- Production and end-of-line testing in the automotive industry
- Electronics production with varying requirements for modulation types and system bandwidths
Please note that you must also purchase the frequency bandwidth option that is optimal for your application.
