The Rohde & Schwarz two-quadrant source measure unit (SMU) NGU201 and the four-quadrant SMU NGU401 deliver up to 60 W output power or sink power. The channels are floating, galvanically isolated and protected against overload and short circuits.
With six measurement ranges for current and a resolution of up to 6 ½ digits when measuring voltage, current and power, the NGU Source Measure Units are perfect for characterizing devices that operate from extremely low power consumption to high currents in the ampere range.
Using ammeters with feedback gain increases accuracy and extends sensitivity into the nA range.
With a capture rate of up to 500,000 samples per second, extremely fast voltage or current fluctuations can also be captured.
The devices offer fast load recovery of < 30 μs in conjunction with minimal overshoot, even with demanding load changes.
The linear design of the output stages allows the NGU-SMU to source and sink with minimal ripple and noise.
The two-quadrant variant NGU201 was mainly developed for the supply of devices to be tested with extremely low quiescent currents, such as Bluetooth Low Energy devices.
Adjustable output impedance and fast impedance control make it ideal for powering battery-powered devices. The optional battery simulation feature provides test conditions that mimic the use of a real battery. An optional voltmeter input makes an additional digital multimeter superfluous in many applications.
This package includes the Rohde & Schwarz SMU NGU201 and the GPIB interface NGU-B105.
