Modular SMU Single-Box Solution.

The PZ2100 series is a single-box solution consisting of a mainframe with 4 slots. It is flexibly configurable and scalable with five SMU modules covering a wide range of applications: from conventional static DC measurements up to 10 fA, to dynamic/pulsed measurements with up to 15 MSa/s and 10 μs width, up to 5-channel modules for up to 20 channels - all in a compact 1U configuration. 

The PZ2100 enables a lower cost per channel and a 20x smaller rack footprint than conventional SMUs, significantly reducing your test costs and saving valuable rack space.

The Mainframe and the Modules.

The PZ2100A is a mainframe whose slots support up to four SMU modules. These can be flexibly inserted and exchanged at the rear after removing the blind plate. It allows any mixed module configuration from the available high-speed, high-resolution and high-density PZ21xxA SMU modules for flexible scalability. 

The PZ2100A can integrate up to 20 SMU channels in the compact 1U height rack space and, unlike conventional SMUs, requires no cooling spacers when stacked. The PZ2100A's 6 internal trigger lines enable synchronization between channels with an accuracy of less than 50 ns without any cabling. The external trigger connections on the mainframe and modules allow flexible and accurate synchronization with any external device. The GPIB, USB and LAN interfaces allow you to conveniently control the PZ2100A remotely.

The PZ2110A is a high-resolution precision source/measurement unit (SMU) that extends precise static DC measurements with a resolution of 10 fA to fast dynamic measurements with a sampling rate of 1.25 MSa/s. 

This module is ideal for a variety of current/voltage measurement tasks that require both high resolution and accuracy. The PZ2110A can perform precise characterization, parametric testing and reliability testing of semiconductors, active and passive components and general electronic devices.
The PZ2120A is a cost-effective high-speed precision source/measurement unit (SMU) with a particularly narrow pulse width of 50 μS, fast digitizer mode with a sampling rate of 1 MSa/s and seamless current measurement range. 

This module enables narrow pulsed measurements and fast dynamic measurements with a wide dynamic range for a variety of new applications such as optical devices with surface emitters (VCSEL) and integrated circuit (IC) testing. Thanks to the low noise, measurements with shorter aperture times and seamless current measurement range function can be enabled, a wide dynamic range and eliminates the range change time, which improves the test throughput.
The PZ2121A is a high-speed precision source/measurement unit (SMU) that enables excellent dynamic/pulsed measurements with a narrow pulse up to 10 μS at a fast sampling rate of 15 MSa/s for a variety of new applications. 

This module is suitable for a variety of new applications, such as optical devices with surface emitters (VCSEL) and integrated circuit (IC) testing. In addition, its low noise enables measurements with shorter aperture times and its seamless current measurement range function enables a wide dynamic range and eliminates range change time, improving test throughput.
The PZ2130A is a high channel density precision current source/measurement unit (SMU) with 5 channels per module, saving space at a low cost per channel for a variety of applications requiring multiple precision current supplies.

The seamless current measurement function eliminates the time required to change the range and extends the dynamic range to cover multiple measurement ranges, reducing test time. These features make the PZ2130A suitable for applications that require multiple precision power supplies, such as semiconductor reliability testing and integrated circuit (IC) testing. 

The PX0107A low-noise filter adapter reduces the noise level of the voltage source, making the PZ2130A suitable for noise-sensitive applications such as quantum computing.
The PZ2131A is a high channel density precision source/measurement unit (SMU) with 5 channels per module, saving space for a variety of applications requiring multiple precision power supplies. The narrow pulse with a pulse width of up to 100 μs and the fast digitizer mode with a sampling rate of 500 kSa/s enable the PZ2131A to extend conventional static DC measurements to emerging dynamic measurements. 

Its seamless current measurement range function eliminates the time needed to change the range and extends the dynamic range to cover multiple measurement ranges, reducing test time. These capabilities make the PZ2131A suitable for applications requiring multiple precision current supplies, such as semiconductor reliability testing and integrated circuit (IC) testing.

The modular mainframe PZ2100A allows any mixed module configuration, enabling you to flexibly configure and expand your test system according to your application requirements, from DC to dynamic measurements.

20 channels for 20x higher density.

The PZ2100A mainframe can be equipped with four PZ213xA SMU modules and achieves 20 SMU channels with a height of just 1U. In addition, unlike conventional SMUs, no cooling spacers are required when stacking. 

The Source Measure Unit therefore requires 20 times less space for the integration of 20 channels than conventional SMUs and enables you to save costs and valuable rack space.

The PW9251A PathWave is an IV curve measurement and ready-to-use GUI software that performs a variety of synchronous current-voltage (IV) measurements without programming. It offers seamless operation and an intuitive graphical user interface that manages up to 20 channels together. 

The setup menu allows you to define and preview the settings for multiple SMU channels before taking a measurement. This allows you to set up the SMU channels flexibly and easily. The integrated graph function supports basic and advanced functions. The test results can be checked immediately after the measurement with various analysis functions in diagrams and tables. Functions such as export for graphs with markers and tables support efficient reporting. In addition, the test result files contain all settings so that you can accurately review and repeat a test.
