Since 1985, dataTec has been synonymous with top-quality measurement and testing technology, expert advice, and dependable service. Now, 40 years later, we’re proud to look back on a journey of success – a journey we’ve had the privilege of sharing with you.

Our Story:
From Humble Beginnings to Today.

Forty years of quality and partnership.

1985: The story begins – dataTec is founded.
1990s: A milestone partnership with Tektronix propels dataTec forward.
1997: A new chapter unfolds with the move to larger offices and the creation of TELMA for customer acquisition.
1999: The portfolio expands with the addition of Keysight Technologies (formerly Agilent Technologies).
2001: dataTec establishes its permanent home with the construction of the current headquarters.

2007: The journey toward excellence continues with ISO 9001 certification, maintained annually ever since.
2008: The portfolio grows with the addition of Hameg Instruments, a subsidiary of Rohde & Schwarz.
2010: dataTec takes knowledge sharing to the next level by founding the dataTec Academy, offering specialized training in measurement and testing technology.
2016: A major milestone is reached as dataTec transitions into a privately held stock corporation, becoming dataTec AG
2018: dataTec enters the European market through a joint venture with Madrid-based Ayscom, now operating as dataTec Instruments S.L.

2019: dataTec reaches new heights with the opening of its 1,500 sqm Technology and Logistics Center.
2021: Expansion into Northern Europe begins with the acquisition of a majority stake in Testhouse Nordic AB, extending operations to Sweden, Estonia, and Finland.
2021: dataTec secures exclusive distribution rights for NI products in the DACH region, strengthening its market presence.
2022: Growth continues with the acquisition of the Swiss company Mesatec, now operating as dataTec Schweiz AG.
2025: Celebrating over 20,000 projects, partnerships with more than 50 manufacturers, and a dedicated team of over 160 employees – a remarkable achievement we share with pride!
