The NI SLSC-12251 has 16 switching channels that can continuously sink up to 8 A of current in a Switch Load and Signal Conditioning (SLSC) module. Each channel can be connected to a load, a coupled channel, or one of two fault buses. Each channel also provides a voltage that is proportional to the current, which you can measure with another device.
The SLSC module simulates open, short, and pin-to-pin faults in a switch, load, and signal conditioning (SLSC) module.
The Fault Insertion Module for SLSC provides a set of feedthrough channels to simulate open or broken connections in a SLSC module. The module also includes shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Input signals can be connected to either fault buses on the rear transition interface (RTI) or to external loads, devices under test (DUTs) and modules via the second connector on the front of the SLSC module. In addition, you can use the fault simulation module for SLSC with PXI or CompactRIO modules that support the appropriate cabling, terminal blocks, and RTIs.

The standardized connectivity and form factor eliminates error-prone point-to-point cabling, simplifying the overall system by handling small to medium loads on a simple circuit board.
