The SLSC digital I/O module provides bidirectional digital input and output channels in a SLSC (Switch Load Signal Conditioning) module.
The SLSC-12201 has 32 bi-directional digital channels. If you configure the channels as outputs, you can program them to source, sink, or push-pull mode with up to 50mA of current per channel. If you configure the channels as inputs, you can program them to be in source or sink mode and set the logic transition threshold. The SLSC I/O module offers signal levels compatible with those used in the automotive and aerospace industries.
The digital I/O module for SLSC provides 33V signal compatibility in channels that you can configure for input or output operations. You can configure channels as: sourcing, sinking, push-pull outputs, or sourcing or sinking inputs. With the appropriate cabling and rear-transition interfaces, you can use the digital I/O module for SLSC with PXI or CompactRIO modules. This channel's SLSC signals can be routed through the SLSC modules via either the Front or Rear Transition Interface (RTI). In addition, some models of the digital I/O module for SLSC have FIU (Fault Insertion Unit) functionality.
SLSC (Switch Load and Signal Conditioning)
NI switch load and signal conditioning (SLSC) hardware extends the PXI platform with front-end modules for load switching and management. The standardized connectivity and form factor eliminates error-prone point-to-point cabling, simplifying the overall system by handling small to medium loads on a simple circuit board.
