784662-01 | USB-8502, NI-XNET CAN HS/FD Interface Device with Synchronization, 2 Ports
The USB-8502 is a high-speed Controller Area Network (CAN) interface card for application development using the NI-XNET driver. The USB-8502 is powered by the USB port and does not require an external power supply. The card is ideal for applications that require manipulation of hundreds of CAN frames and signals in real time and at high speed, such as bus monitoring and automation control. The device-powered NI-XNET DMA engine enables the onboard processor to transfer CAN frames and signals between interfaces and the application program without causing CPU interrupts, reducing message latency and freeing up processor time for processing complex applications. The USB-8502 provides a 3-pin COMBICON synchronization connector for triggering and synchronizing the internal hardware time base with other devices.
