The NI (National Instruments) myRIO‑1900 with reconfigurable I/O is used to implement various design concepts in the classroom. The device is equipped with I/O in the form of MXP and MSP connectors on both sides and has ten analog inputs, six analog outputs, 40 digital I/O lines, WLAN, LEDs, a button, an integrated accelerometer, a Xilinx ‑FPGA and a dual‑core Cortex‑A9 processor from ARM. The myRIO‑1900 can be programmed with LabVIEW or C. The WLAN functionality enables quick and easy integration into decentralized embedded applications. With its equipment, the consistent software environment and the library with learning software and tutorials, the myRIO‑1900 is a cost-optimized tool that supports teachers and students in putting technical projects into practice in just one semester.
