U1810B | USB coaxial switch, DC - 18 GHz, SPDT

In RF / microwave test systems, coaxial switches are used extensively to route signals between meters and test objects. Switching matrices make it possible to carry out different tests in a single pass without having to disconnect the test object repeatedly and connect it differently. Of course, the configuration of the switches can also be automated, thereby significantly increasing throughput and testing efficiency.

The USB coaxial switch U1810B is a single-pole single throw, single throw (SPDT) switch for the frequency range from DC to 18 GHz. The switch is equipped with a USB interface as standard and can therefore be quickly and easily connected and configured. Its operating voltage relates the switch from a USB port to a meter or PC; an external power supply is not required. Such an integrated solution saves a lot of time compared to a conventional coaxial switch.

The Type N plug provides a robust connection to the actual meter. A pushbutton located on the coaxial switch allows direct switching between 2 signal sources without the need for additional software or computers. The additionally supplied user interface allows alternative switching and control of the U1810B. Likewise, users can control this coaxial switch through the widely used programming software languages such as C #, C ++, LabVIEW, VEE, and so on.

With the coaxial switch can be 10 million switching operations perform, with a 0.03 dB insertion loss is assured for 5 million switching operations. The excellent RF characteristics of this switch dramatically reduce the recalibration time of the test system, increasing system throughput and test efficiency.
