The optically isolated differential probes of the PS000xA series from Keysight ensure safe isolation between the device under test (DUT) from the oscilloscope and the earth. This not only enables more precise measurements, but also reduces risks in high-voltage applications. This isolation effectively suppresses common mode signals, minimizes interference and avoids ground loops. A high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) is particularly important in order to reliably detect even the smallest signals, even if high common mode voltages are present at floating nodes. The CMRR values of isolated probes can be many times higher than those of conventional differential voltage probes, which are referenced to earth potential. With Keysight's isolated probes, the CMRR is significantly affected by the probe tip used.
NOTE: This probe is not designed as a handheld probe for safety and performance reasons.
