  • Operation in 2 quadrants - either as a voltage or current source or as a constant voltage or current load
  • four current measuring ranges to precisely measure the current strengths of the DUT in different operating modes of the DUT
  • Fast modulation of the output DC voltage - up to a frequency of 100 kHz, waveforms can be applied to the DUT
  • High-speed digital measurements - every 5 µs the energy balance of a DUT can be recorded and displayed using the built-in 200 kHz digitizer
  • Output variables: voltage up to 20 V, current up to ± 3 A, power 20W
  • Programming accuracy (at 23 ° C ± 5 ° C after a 30-minute switch-on time):
    - Voltage 20 V range: 0.025% + 1.8 mV

N6782A | 2-quadrant source / measurement module (SMU), 20 V / ± 3 A / 20 W, for N6700C / N6705C

The module N6782A contains a source and measuring unit for the function test of a module or device. With the possibility to modulate the source and the sink with 100 kHz (2-quadrant operation), the module N6782A makes it a unique device on the market with which you can e.g. B. DC / DC converter, power management units, power amplifiers and power ICs can be measured. The input of the DUT can be stimulated by fast source and waveform programming. Since the output behavior of the DUT (device under test) can be recorded simultaneously with the stimuli at the input by the programmable load, this module is a perfect test arrangement.

The distinguishing feature of the measuring system is that dynamic processes can be measured with high precision without transients or distortions when changing the measuring range. If the voltage and current values to be measured change on the DUT, the SMU automatically and seamlessly selects the current and voltage measuring range that allows the best possible accuracy without switching peaks distorting the measurement result. A patented technology that Keysight (formerly Agilent's electronic measurement technology) calls "Seamless Measurement Ranging".

In combination with the 18-bit digitizer, the effective resolution of the SMU is increased to 28-bit. No other manufacturer offers this. The high resolution offers you a unique representation of the processes of energy and electricity consumption of your DUT - from nA to A range.
