The Keysight (formerly Agilent's electronic measurement technology) N2750A of the InfiniiMode series is a cost-effective active, differential probe with a bandwidth of 1.5 GHz and is intended for use with the Infiniium oscilloscopes. Like the oscilloscopes, this probe has the so-called autoprobe interface. Not only the signals are transmitted over it, but also oscilloscope control signals to trigger directly from the probe for most of the display settings, storage and printing processes required after a measurement, the so-called Quick Action Scope Control technology.
The InfiniiMode technology enables the probe to be set to different modes during the measurement without the probe tip having to be lifted from the measuring points in order to make settings on the scope, e.g. B. perform a differential measurement, single-ended measurement, and common mode measurements without having to reconnect the probe or make settings on the oscilloscope.
InfiniiMode technology offers the possibility to switch the following measurements directly on the probe with the probe button between the following measurements:
Quick Action Scope Control. With this technology, the oscilloscope can be controlled from the probe. Who does not know the situation: Sometimes you need 5 hands to carry out the measurement - and then you have to let go of everything again to set a different deflection time on the oscilloscope or press a button to print out the measurement result.
The following functions can be controlled with Quick Action Scope Control technology:
With Quick Action Scope Control you get access to the most used functions and for quick setting of the oscilloscope directly with the probe.
Versatile measurements. The field of application of this probe extends from the general application to typical applications in the high-speed transmission of serial, digital signals, to the testing of differential buses such as FlexRay or for measuring electronic components or modules.
This probe is equipped with an attenuator in a ratio of 2: 1 and 10: 1 for both differential signal paths. The attenuation is set automatically, depending on the input voltage to be measured. The input resistance is 200 kΩ (differential) or 100 kΩ (for each signal path to ground) and an extremely low input capacitance of 700 fF in order to keep the load on the test point by the probe small.
With an input voltage range of 10 Vpp with 10: 1 attenuation and an offset range of ± 15 V, this probe is ideal for troubleshooting analog and digital systems.
