The increasing data rate means that signal integrity on circuit boards is becoming increasingly important. For this reason, the requirements for measuring systems with regard to accuracy will also increase. B. to measure the impedance changes along a line on a circuit board or the coupling to connector systems. For mobile devices such as tablets or mobile phones, antennas are implemented directly on the circuit boards. It is therefore not sufficient to carry out the impedance measurements on printed circuit boards only in the time domain; qualifications must also be carried out in the frequency domain.
In conjunction with option 011 (time domain analysis and test wizard), the network analyzer E5063A can display the measured values not only in the frequency domain but also in the time domain. In addition, option 011 contains a GUI (Graphical User Interface) and a test wizard with which the measurements can be set up and displayed more easily. The number of inputs on the E5063A can also be expanded via programmable coaxial relay switches U1810B in order to be able to connect several DUTs (Device under Test). These relays are controlled by the network analyzer and also enable simultaneous measurement with differential or single ended probes.
