Please note: This special item includes the option 8496H-002 SMA sockets for 8496H.

The programmable stepped attenuator 8496H can be used to set a signal attenuation of 0 to 110 dB in 10 dB steps for a bandwidth of 0 Hz to 18 GHz.

Within the frequency range up to 4 GHz, it offers very good stability and repeat accuracy of the attenuation. This is achieved by gold-plated spring contacts, which also guarantee a long service life - over 5 million switching cycles - with a repeat accuracy of typically 0.01 dB. The UK6 option offers higher accuracy and traceability to the NIST standard (SWR (standing wave ratio) and attenuation). Higher attenuations can be achieved by connecting several attenuators in series.

The 11716A/B/C connection sets offer a quick connection with the 8494/5/6/7 attenuators, which have an attenuator step of 1 dB or 10 dB.
