The switching and data acquisition system of the 2700 series consists of 3 device variants: 2700 has an integrated 6½-digit digital multimeter and two slots for plug-in modules for data acquisition. The System 2701 is also equipped with a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet interface for high-speed and long-distance communication between a computer and a practically infinite number of instruments. The 2750 system is also based on the 2700, but has a total of 5 slots for additional plug-in modules.

The available matrix modules offer the possibility to expand the number of channels from 20 to 200 (2-pin), connect a stimulus to the device under test, route signals, control system components and carry out precision measurements with up to 14 measurement functions. Robust, digital inputs and outputs can be used for alarms when limits are exceeded, for triggering and for handshaking with other handlers. Sampling rates of up to 500 channels per second and up to 3500 measured values / s (1-channel, DC) increase test productivity. Measuring function, measuring range, filter, scaling, test sequence, alarm limits, trigger source and level as well as the sampling rate can be conveniently set on the front panel.
The free ExceLINX-1A software makes it possible to configure the connections of the switching matrix system with the integrated DMM via a graphical user interface. This gives the user the opportunity to write without program code and to develop his measuring processes very quickly and easily. The integrated functions for signal conditioning, scaling, stimulus, filter and I / O make external circuits unnecessary when building data acquisition systems and make the 2750 a compact, flexible measuring system with high test throughput.
