The GW Instek AFG-4000 series arbitrary function generators are available with a bandwidth of 25 MHz to 250 MHz. They offer both single and dual channels, with a resolution of up to 1 Hz at all frequencies. The devices support a wide range of signals, including sine, square, triangle, pulse, noise and harmonic waves.
The highest bandwidth model at 250 MHz (AFG-4225H) has an impressive sampling rate of 1.25 GSa/s. The other models have a sampling rate of 500 MSa/s. The 25 MHz entry-level models offer a sampling rate of 125 MSa/s. The vertical resolution of the 35 MHz to 250 MHz models is 16 bits, while the 25 MHz entry-level models offer a resolution of 14 bits.
Other functions of the AFG-4000 series include modulation options such as AM, DSB-AM, FM, PM, PWM, ASK, PSK, BPSK, QPSK, FSK, 3FSK, 4FSK and OSK. The devices also have sweep, burst and counter functions. The AFG-4125AE model is also equipped with a built-in amplifier function.
The AFG-4000 series has an integrated 50 Ohm/impedance switching function and is equipped with an 8-inch TFT LCD with high resolution. The models from 35 MHz also have a touch screen. In terms of communication interfaces, the models from 35 MHz are equipped with USB and LAN interfaces.
The function generators of the AFG-4000 series are ideal for applications in educational institutions, automotive electronics, as well as in the development and testing of electronic products and components. Thanks to the high sampling rate, the variety of integrated waveforms and modulation types, as well as the user-friendly touchscreen interface, these generators are a versatile addition to any laboratory or development environment.
