MS-POE-IE | MicroScanner PoE cable checker and troubleshooter for industrial Ethernet

The Fluke Networks MicroScanner PoE Industrial Ethernet Cable Tester performs continuity tests on terminated RJ45, M12X, M12D, and M8D cables in seconds and displays the results graphically so you can identify opens, shorts, and crossed wires. The MS-POE also quickly detects whether a problem is caused by insufficient power supply or the powered device. Cable and power failures result in costly production downtime. It is therefore important to quickly identify where the cable is defective so that it can be replaced or repaired. Includes multi-adapter port and pigtails for testing terminated RJ45, M12X, M12D, and M8D cables.

Product features:

  • Quickly determine if a problem is caused by a faulty or disconnected cable, insufficient power supply, or a powered device (PD).
  • Information for the network engineer to investigate possible switch configurations or malfunctions.
  • PoE Switch Verification - Determine if a switch port can supply sufficient power by reporting the PoE class (0-8).
  • Powered Pairs - Graphically displays powered pairs, including dual signature where the switch port is powering 2 or 4 pairs (802.3bt or PoE++).
  • Active switch detection - Determine if a cable is connected to a switch port and the port speed is up to 10G
  • Cable Tests - Identify shorted, open or crossed wires at both ends and the length of each pair and emit tones to locate cables.
  • Validate and examine your Industrial Ethernet copper cabling
  • PoE Injector Check - Displays the injector voltage level
