The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable and Network Tester is a versatile solution for testing cables up to 10 Gbps and troubleshooting network connectivity issues. Using frequency-based measurements and a detailed cable map, the tester validates cable quality. In addition, it checks connectivity through ping tests and provides comprehensive switch diagnostics to identify network issues and validate the switch configuration - eliminating the need for a separate device.
The LinkIQ Duo model complements Wi-Fi 6E with Wi-Fi analysis (if permitted), including network, channel and access point assessment and detection of typical configuration issues.
Other features include analog and digital toning, port blink, remote office locators and test result management via LinkWare PC. The LinkIQ tester measures cable lengths of up to 305 m (1,000 feet) and indicates distances to fault locations such as breaks, shorts or unassembled cables. With the remote ID, all cable pairs can be fully mapped, reliably detecting miswired or split pairs.
The main function of the tester is to qualify cable performance, covering bandwidths from 10BASE-T to 10GBASE-T (10 Mbps to 10 Gbps). The tests are based on IEEE-compliant frequency-based measurements, which ensures that the connections meet the required performance standards - unlike pure transmission testers, which only check the function between test devices.
Product features:
- Cable performance tests up to 10GBASE-T and troubleshooting (distance to fault location, occupancy map, toning)
- Network features include: IPv4 and IPv6 ping, nearest switch diagnostics (IP address, name, port/VLAN number and data rates offered)
- Ethernet Alliance-certified PoE verification recognizes PoE class (1-8) and power, and performs a load test of available PoE from the connected switch
- Wi-Fi analysis up to Wi-Fi 6E, including networks, channels and access points (Duo model) (6 GHz support only in countries where this is allowed)
- Manage results and print reports via LinkWare PC
