Dirty end-faces are one of the most common causes of problems and downtime in single-mode and multimode fiber systems. The Fluke Networks FI-525 contains two components to help you locate and clean such end surfaces: The FiberInspector FI-500 and a matching cleaning kit.

The FiberInspector FI-500 supports you in solving this problem by making the entire inspection easier. The cleaning kit NFC-KIT contains all the important components that are necessary to clean a contaminated fiberglass end surface: swab and solvent included.

The FI-500 works on a simple system: plug the cable to be inspected into the FI-500 and touch the AF button. Within a few seconds, the fiber end face becomes clear and distinct. Then you have a choice: you can use the freeze function to freeze the image in case it is necessary for the inspection. Otherwise you can follow the process permanently using autofocus.

The built-in PortBright light will help you find the right end face. The probe also fits in tight spaces and the simple operation makes it easier for you to use it under difficult conditions, such as at night. The auto focus enable you to generate a high quality image of the end face in seconds.

The FI-500 was developed to close the gap between a fully automated inspection device and a manual endoscope. The advantage for you: the device expands the functions of a manual inspection device so that troubleshooting and inspection time are reduced.

The ease of use is particularly evident in situations in which the cable you are looking for is not immediately apparent. Especially when there is a high density of glass fibers, the device shines. The focus here is on comfort and convenience - so that you can carry out your work effectively and efficiently.
