The programmable regenerative DC loads of the EA-PUL 10000 series from EA Elektro-Automatik feed energy back into the local power grid with an efficiency of over 96%. With their combination of high performance, flexible adaptation and extensive protection functions, they are suitable for demanding applications in industry and research. With an impressive power capacity of up to 30 kW for the 4U models and 60 kW for the 6U models, this series offers a flexible and reliable solution for a wide range of applications.

Input range and efficiency:

The wide input range of 380 V to 480 V (+10%, 3ph AC) enables worldwide use without additional adjustments.

The active power factor correction (typically 0.99) ensures low energy consumption and a very high efficiency of up to 96%.

Performance and flexibility:

With voltage ranges from 0 - 80 V to 0 - 2.000 V (6U models 360 V - 2,000 V) and current ranges from 0 - 40 A to 0 - 1,000 A (6U models 80 A - 480 A), the series covers a wide range of applications.

The flexible autoranging allows constant power output over a wide voltage and current range.

Control modes and control:

The devices offer multiple control modes (CV, CC, CP, CR) with fast transition times, allowing precise control and adaptation to different load requirements.

The digital control with 16-bit ADCs and DACs provides high resolution and accuracy in voltage regulation.

Parallel connection and scalability:

The galvanically isolated share bus enables parallel operation of all power classes of the 10000 series.

The master-slave bus allows the creation of systems with up to 64 devices of the series.

Interfaces and communication:

Integrated interfaces: USB, Ethernet, analog interface, master-slave bus and share bus.

Optional interfaces: CAN, CANopen, RS232, Profibus, EtherCAT, Profinet and Modbus, each with one or two ports.

This extensive selection of interfaces enables seamless integration into existing systems and flexible adaptation to specific requirements.

Protective functions and safety:

The devices have adjustable protective functions such as overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overpower protection (OPP) and overtemperature protection (OT).

High safety standards in accordance with EN 61010-1, IEC 61010-1 and other international standards ensure safe operation.

Cooling and mechanics:

The devices are equipped with temperature-controlled ventilation as standard; water cooling is available as an option.

Compact dimensions (19" x 4 U x 668 mm) and a weight of 50 kg (56 kg with water cooling) enable easy integration into existing rack systems.

The regenerative loads of the EA Elektro-Automatik PUL10000 series are available as 4 U models (80 V - 2000 V / 40 A - 1,000 A / 30 kW) and as 6 U models (360 V - 2.000 V / 80 A - 480 A / 60 kW).

The PUL10080-10004U variant presented here has 4 U, 0 - 80 V, 0 - 1,000 A and 30 kW power. All devices in the series can be optionally equipped with additional interfaces, a function generator and water cooling
