Description

ELR9360-40HP3U; Electronic load 360V/40A, 5000W, regeneration, USB, analog

The electronic DC loads of the ELR9000HP series with mains feedback offer voltage, current and power levels for a wide range of applications. The DC load includes the four typical control types CC, CV, CP and CR. In addition, the FPGA-based control unit offers a function generator, a table control for simulating non-linear internal resistances. The standard integrated mains feedback offers some interesting advantages over conventional DC loads, the absorbed DC energy is converted with approx. 95% efficiency and fed back into the power grid, so that energy costs are saved and complex cooling or ventilation systems can be dispensed with because hardly any waste heat is generated.Of course, all the common functions of a modern DC load are available. All models offer the four control modes constant voltage (CV), constant current (CC), constant power (CP) and constant resistance (CR). Operation and value entry as well as settings are made easier by the touch panel and the large graphic display offers an overview of the setpoints, actual values and status of the device at a glance. Two rotary knobs are used to change setpoints coarsely or finely, as well as setting values in the setup. For remote control via PC and integration into industrial networks such as CAN or Profibus, in addition to the standard integrated USB interface, a range of plug-in interface modules for CANopen, Profibus, ProfiNet, RS232/485 or Ethernet/IP are available. Other interface types such as ModBus or DeviceNet can be offered on request. Subsequent implementation is easy via a firmware update of the device.

Another feature is the option of using a USB host interface on the front of the device to load and save tables and user profiles from USB sticks and even to carry out data logging without the need for additional hardware. The log data tables in the familiar CSV format can be evaluated and edited using common tools on the PC. This allows for quick and uncomplicated changes to test sequences and parameter sets.
