The Chroma 63700 Series is a state-of-the-art regenerative load specifically designed for testing inverters and off-grid systems. The series is suitable for product reliability testing in various applications including electric vehicle (EV) battery discharge, fuel cell discharge, heavy-duty power supply aging, DC EV supplies (EVSE), unidirectional on-board chargers (OBC), Fuel cell systems, energy storage systems (ESS), AC/DC and DC/DC power supply burn-in tests and various applications in power electronics.
The 63700 Series offers a unique combination of high power density, superior efficiency and precise measurement capability. It can work in various operating modes including constant current, constant voltage, constant power and constant resistance to meet a variety of testing needs. With its regenerative technology, it feeds the energy generated during the testing process back into the power grid, resulting in significant energy savings.
The renewable loads return much of the energy generated during the testing process to the grid rather than losing it as heat. This results in significant energy savings and reduces the need for expensive and polluting cooling systems.
The 63700 Series loads are available in various power ratings and can operate in both single and multi-phase configurations. They offer a variety of operating modes including constant current, constant voltage, constant power and constant resistance to meet a variety of testing needs.
The Chroma 63700 Series is equipped with an intuitive user interface and extensive remote control options that enable easy integration into automated test systems. With its robust construction and high reliability, the Chroma 63700 series is the ideal choice for demanding power electronics applications.
The variant 63706-600-40 presented here has 600 V / 40 A / 6 kW.
