Description
62120D-1200 | Power supply, bidirectional, DC, 1 channel 1200V / +/- 40A, 12kW
The bidirectional power supply units of the Chroma ATE 62000D series combine excellent rated outputs from 0 - 1,800 V / up to 540 A / up to 18 kW and are housed in a housing with a high power density of only 3U (3U).
In simple master / slave parallel and serial operation, several individual devices can be interconnected for a total output of up to 180 kW.
The 62000D series offers two-quadrant operation; This means that the devices can work as a DC source and as a DC load without switching times and thus guarantee a high level of protection for the corresponding test objects.
In load operation, up to 93% of the power consumed can be fed into the supply network.
The devices can work in the constant voltage, constant current and constant power modes.
The power supply units of the 62000D series are ideal for testing power systems for renewable energies such as PV, storage and EV inverters, and can also be used as a battery simulator.
With the help of soft panels, they simulate state of charge conditions (SOC / State of Charge) or specific VI curves of the battery characteristics in order to evaluate the charging or discharging of lithium-ion batteries and to add built-in bidirectional on-board chargers, bidirectional DC converters and DC-AC motor drivers check.
To control complex test sequences, the 62000D series offers automatic sequence programming, programmable voltage and current rise times. Fast control behavior as well as low output noise and low ripple allow precise tests.
USB / LAN and analog interfaces are available as standard, CAN and GPIB are optionally available.
Its intuitive touchscreen and intelligent user interface shorten the test time considerably and simplify complex test procedures.
The Chroma 62120D-1200 variant has 0… 1,200 V, ± 40 A, ± 12 kW. Other models are available (see below under: Alternatives | Other models).
Use:
- Charge / discharge test procedures and service life test procedures, including BOBC, DC-DC conversion and PCS
- Motor driver check for DC-AC power supply and energy recovery
- Pre-conformity test for LV123 and LV148 for testing electrical vehicle components
- Simulation of an IV power source for energy storage, battery and fuel cell in microgrid laboratories
- Battery current simulation for testing propulsion and auxiliary systems for battery-powered vehicles on land, water and in the air
