An indispensable tool for the electrician to check that a circuit, device or system connected to the mains is dead before any intervention.
The CA 771 voltage tester complies with IEC standard 61243-3, edition 2 and is approved for all systems up to 1000 V CAT IV. It has degree of protection IP65 and the extended climate protection class S and is therefore suitable for all applications in rooms and outdoors, even under extreme climatic conditions.
To meet the different regulations of some countries, the voltage tester is available in two versions: with or without specially protected test probes IP2X. The CA 771 is also equipped with a redundant safety system: the LED warning light »ELV« flashes as soon as the applied voltage exceeds 50 VAC / 120 VDC.
The testing of the tripping threshold of RCDs (RCD) is additionally secured by two-hand operation.
The integrated self-test on the CA 771 monitors the proper functioning of the electrical circuits, the power supply, the displays and the test leads.
The device is practical, simple and quick to use, and the phase sequence direction is checked by a microprocessor on just two conductors.
The continuity test with visual and acoustic display complies with the recommendations of Appendix B of the standard. The detection of phantom voltages and the single-pole phase display are also available.
The test probes and test leads are removable. The CA 753 socket adapter is available as an option, which considerably simplifies the control of 2P + E European sockets and Schuko sockets.
