The Chauvin Arnoux CA 6545 insulation meter is a robust, construction site-friendly instrument that is optimized for the quantitative and qualitative testing of insulation. With a test voltage of up to 5000 V, the CA 6545 offers a comprehensive measuring range from 10 kΩ to 10 TΩ.
In addition to the insulation resistance, the tester also displays voltages, capacities and residual currents. It has four predefined test voltages: 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000 V. In addition, the test voltage can be programmed from 40 V to 5100 V in 10 V or 100 V steps.
The CA 6545 has a large-format, illuminated LCD display that shows both numerical values and a bar graph. It carries out a qualitative insulation test and automatically calculates the parameters DAR, PI, DD and plots the R (t) curve.
Other functions include a programmable test duration, limiting the test voltage to safe values, smooth, programmable alarms and much more. The CA 6545 is powered by NiMH batteries, which provide approximately one month of operation with 10 DAR and 5 PI measurements per day.
The device complies with the installation categories IEC 61010-1 CAT III 1000 V or CAT I 2500 V and IEC 61557.
