The voltage tester (VAT) C.A 742 is an essential tool for any electrician to check that an electrical system connected to the mains is free of voltage before working on it. It complies with the IEC 61243-3 Ed. 2 standard and can therefore be used on all outdoor and indoor systems in category 600 V CAT IV.The CA742 has a redundant safety system with the ELV LED, which flashes as soon as a voltage of more than 50 VAC or 120 VDC is present. The comprehensive self-test of the C.A 742 checks the electrical circuits, the power supply, the displays and the perfect condition of the test leads.The test probe and the leads are removable. With the optional adapter C.A 753, tests on Schuko sockets can be carried out quickly and easily.
