The Benning CM 10-PV is a TRMS clamp meter multimeter especially for the requirements for measurements on photovoltaic systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology. But it is also suitable for applications in service and industry.
Non-linear loads that arise, for example, from motor drives with adjustable speed, frequency converter or power supplies for office equipment and LED lights generate reactive power in the network. As a result, multimeters and current clamps with the averaging measurement (RMS) display the measured values less accurately.
In many cases and especially in an industrial environment, the use of modern true RMS TRUE RMS measuring instruments is necessary. The TRUE RMS measurement method correctly shows the actual, effective value of an alternating current - regardless of whether the signal shape of the current is sinusoidal or distorted.
