The Benning TRMS earthing clamp enables you to measure the earth loop resistance RE on multi-earthed earthing systems as well as the measurement of leakage, leakage and load currents from 0.3 mA - 35 A using the TRUE RMS measurement method.
Industrial environments in particular require TRUE RMS measuring instruments for the precise and signal form independent display of the measured values.
The CM E1 measuring clamp has an excitation winding and sensor winding. The excitation winding induces a current flow in the enclosed earth conductor via a constant alternating voltage U (f = 3.333 kHz). The sensor winding measures the induced current flow. The CM E1 measures (calculates) the resistance of the entire earth loop Rs = U / I.
This spikeless ground measurement offers you several advantages. It is not necessary to disconnect the earth conductor or set probes / auxiliary earth electrodes. The measurement can therefore be carried out both quickly and safely for the tester and the electrical system.
Typical fields of application are electrical systems with parallel ground connections, overhead line networks with Masterder, lightning protection systems on buildings, street lighting, telecommunications and wind energy.
