The 8620 is a high-performance model of the 8600/B series and was specially developed for applications that require very high currents and power. With up to 480 A current consumption and 3000 W power, this electronic load is ideal for extensive tests on high-current sources such as traction batteries, energy storage systems, DC distribution networks or powerful DC power supplies.
The 8620 supports all common operating modes (CC, CV, CR, CW), the CR LED mode for simulating LED loads and the battery test for precise capacity determination. Operation is intuitive via the front panel or remotely via USB and RS232. The 3U design with professional cooling and excellent electrical insulation makes the device the first choice in industrial environments.
With 3000 W power and up to 480 A current, the 8620 is one of the most powerful models in the series. Compared to the 8616 (1200 W, 240 A), it doubles both the power and the current consumption, but remains at the same maximum voltage of 120 V. If you need a combination of high voltage (500 V) and high current, you should choose the 8622 model. The 8620 is ideal for high-current tests in automotive engineering, energy technology and battery development.
