The 8614 is a high-performance model of the 8600/B series and offers an exceptionally high current consumption of up to 240 A with a maximum output of 1500 W. This electronic load is ideal for demanding applications such as testing high-current power supplies, industrial DC converters or high-capacity batteries.
It supports all common operating modes such as CC, CV, CR and CW as well as the practical CR LED and battery test mode. Operation is possible both locally via the front panel and remotely via USB or RS232. In contrast to smaller models in this series, the 8614 is optimized for continuous operation at high power and offers extended protection functions.
In comparison to the 8610 (120 A) and 8612 (30 A), the 8614 clearly stands out due to its high current consumption of 240 A. At the same voltage as the 8610 (120 V), it offers twice the current load and is therefore suitable for even more demanding power supply or battery tests. If, on the other hand, you need high voltage, you should choose the 8612 (500 V), while models from 8620 (up to 3000 W) are suitable for even higher total output.
