The 8602 model of the 8600/B series from B&K Precision offers an exceptionally high input voltage of up to 500 V in a compact design. It is aimed at users who want to test high-voltage applications such as industrial DC power supplies, battery packs or solar panel emulators. The wide voltage range makes the device extremely flexible to use.
In addition to classic operating modes such as CC, CV, CR and CW, special functions such as battery test mode and CR LED mode are also available. Intuitive operation is via the front panel or remote control via USB or RS232 (model without "B" also with GPIB). The 8602 impresses with its high measuring accuracy, fast transient response and extensive protection functions.
The 8602 model stands out from its series colleagues 8600 and 8601 in particular due to its significantly extended voltage range of up to 500 V. At the same time, the maximum current of 15 A is lower than that of the 8601 (60 A), which makes the 8602 particularly suitable for high-voltage but low-current applications. It is therefore an excellent addition to the other models in the series when high voltage characteristics are required with compact dimensions. For users with high current requirements at a lower voltage, the 8600 or 8601 models are ideal.
