The ST 3820L surge tester offers precise and convenient testing options for wound goods such as stators, coils or transformers. It enables the precise localization of winding short circuits and insulation faults within a winding before they affect the test object.
Developed for OEM applications in systems, the ST 3820L surge tester has a surge voltage test from 100 to 6,000 V and a surge capacity of 18 nF (optionally expandable to 47 nF, 100 nF or 200 nF). The high voltage test covers a DC voltage range of 100 to 6,000 V at 10 mA, while the insulation test offers a DC measurement range of 100 to 6,000 V with 10 GΩ / kV.
The device has an internal matrix for L, N + PE and advanced evaluation methods such as error area, differential error area and tolerance band. The measurement technology includes a sampling rate of 250 MHz, a resolution of 12 bit / 4 ns and a memory depth of 256 MByte. With an unlimited number of master curves and a recording time of 1 μs to 160 ms, the device offers maximum flexibility in data acquisition.
In addition to complete PC software (DAT) and a software interface (DLL), it has interfaces for Ethernet / LAN for easy integration into your work environment.
