The passive high-voltage probe series PHVX sets new standards in power electronics with the PHVX4kV, the first model for 4kV input voltage. The probes are optimized for demanding applications such as LS-VDS measurements in double pulse tests of high-speed switching elements made of SiC technology, IGBTs, thyristors and fast-switching HV diodes.
The PHVX4kV guarantees precise and repeatable measurement results so that you can optimize the efficiency and performance of your power electronics.
Thanks to the low input capacitance of <3 pF and a bandwidth of over 600 MHz, the probes of the PHVX series are particularly suitable for the precise and reliable measurement of fast-switching components.
All variants of the PHVX4kV probes have a universal BNC output and are compatible with all laboratory oscilloscopes that have an input impedance of 1 MΩ.
For reasons of high voltage safety, the PHVX probes are not suitable for They are intended for hand-held use and for use in fully automatic or manual test stations. Instead, they are used as permanently installed voltage measurement components within a test system.
The probes impress with their innovative and compact form factor. Individual contacting with high signal fidelity in different applications is guaranteed by the exchangeable spring tip and a variety of contacting accessories for high voltages. Particularly noteworthy is the unique ground ring, which can be rotated by >360° and thus enables direct contact to square pin strips with a 5.08 mm pitch without additional capacitive loading of the test object for maximum signal fidelity. In addition, there is a wide range of solder adapters, BNC adapters and other accessories for easy and safe contacting for these non-handheld probes.
The PMK PHVX4kV is available with different cable lengths and configurations, optionally with or without intelligent read-out function and with or without additional silicon insulation (-S) for high power measurements. The optional read-out function (-RO) enables intelligent communication with the oscilloscope, which ensures automatic scaling on the display. The fully equipped model with intelligent readout function and silicon insulation has the marking -S-RO on the article number.
The PHVX4KV-2-S-RO variant presented here, like all models in the series, has a bandwidth of over 600 MHz, a maximum input voltage of 4,000 V rms / 4,000 V pk / 4,000 V DC, an input impedance of 50 MΩ || < 3 pF and a division ratio of 100:1. The PHVX4KV-2-S-RO has a cable length of 2.0 m, a read-out function and silicon insulation. All models in the PHVX4kV series are also available without read-out and without silicon insulation.
