The NI‑9381 is designed to be a cost-effective general-purpose system I/O module. It combines shared I/O circuitry into a single module, making it easier for designers to pack more functionality into a single system. The NI‑9381 analog circuitry is based on a multiplexed architecture with a single timing engine. The maximum sample rate per channel is divided by the number of analog I/O channels used. The NI‑9381 is only supported in CompactRIO chassis.
