The NI (National Instruments) USRP-2954 provides an integrated hardware and software solution for rapid prototyping of high-performance wireless communications systems. USRP RIO leverages the LabVIEW RIO (reconfigurable I/O) architecture to provide an integrated hardware and software solution for rapid prototyping of wireless communication systems. Prototyping applications are used in modern research areas such as MIMO, heterogeneous network synchronization, LTE relaying, compressed RF sampling, spectrum monitoring, cognitive radio, beamforming and location. The USRP-2954 is equipped with a 10MHz GPS-clocked temperature-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) that acts as a reference clock. GPS synchronization allows better frequency accuracy as well as synchronization.
