The RF-R 50-1 H-field probe is suitable for measuring assemblies, devices or cables at a distance of up to approx. 3 cm. The H-field probe can be used to identify larger components as a source of interference.
The RF-R 50-1 is a passive near-field probe. Due to its medium diameter (10 mm), it detects less magnetic field than the RF-R 400-1 near-field probe (25 mm) and is therefore less sensitive. The RF-R 50-1 has a higher resolution than the RF-R 400-1. Compared to the RF-R 3-2 H-field probe, it detects more magnetic field and is therefore more sensitive. However, it has a lower resolution. The near-field probe is small and handy. It has sheath current damping and is electrically shielded. The near-field probe is connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. The H-field probe does not have an internal 50 Ω terminating resistor.
