The MP ESD Field Set measuring station is used to measure the electric or magnetic fields of the ESD generator. In addition to the test pulse, ESD generators also emit electric and magnetic interference fields. These interference fields influence the test object in addition to the test pulse. The additional interference is not defined and distorts the result of the ESD test.
With the ESD Field Set measuring station, the developer can measure the additional fields of the ESD generator at his workstation while varying the position of the ESD generator in relation to the field measuring system. Knowing the strength and spatial distribution of the electrical and magnetic interference fields of the ESD generator used is a significant help when suppressing interference in devices. The MP ESD field set measuring station is also available with a higher working area (900 x 500 x 650) mm as an alternative.
