The MP CI set coupling inductance measuring station is used to determine the EMC properties of connectors and cables. The coupling inductance describes the strength of the coupling of external interference variables on the shielding or the earth with the useful signals. If the coupling inductance is taken into account in the design and in the pin or wire assignment of the connector or cable, the connectors or cables become more interference-resistant.
The following measurements on connectors or cables are possible with the coupling inductance measuring station:
- measurement of a single signal (common mode)
- symmetrical signal (common mode)
- symmetrical signal (differential mode)
