Description

PFR-100L-LAN | Power supply, DC, 1 channel, fanless 50V/10A, 100W, multi-range, LAN

The programmable DC power supplies of the PFR 100 series use natural convection to dissipate the heat from the device. Therefore, there are no fan noises and no dust turbulence, which makes them particularly suitable for laboratory environments. In addition, they offer a longer service life cycle compared to power supplies with integrated fans.

The PFR-100 series is a power supply with five times the nominal power, allowing users to adjust either voltage or current so that the device power does not exceed 100W. The device thus offers a wide adjustable voltage or current range of a maximum of 50 V or a maximum of 10 A.

The DC voltage is available either on the front panel or on the rear of the device. For rack-based measurement setups, the connections on the rear of the device can be hard-wired. The overall height is 3 U with a device width of 70 mm and a weight of 2.5 kg.

As standard, the PFR 100 series has USB and RS232/485 interfaces with integrated web server functionality and an intuitive user interface. A GPIB and a LAN interface are also integrated. The network devices can be controlled and adjusted remotely over the Internet using standard browsers such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Firefox or Android for mobile phones. It is therefore possible to program the power supply unit or units independently of the laboratory space. The overvoltage, overcurrent and undervoltage protection functions can be called up remotely, and the device serial number, device firmware and setting parameters for the Internet connection can be read out. The output variables such as voltage and current, the rise time for current and voltage, the overcurrent protection, the switch-on delay time for the output voltage and the parameters for the integrated buzzer can also be set remotely.

A special feature : up to 31 of these power supplies from the PFR series can be controlled using the " multi-drop mode ". This saves the otherwise necessary network switches and hubs for large measuring systems.

The power supply unit offers various functionalities for different measurement applications, e.g. B. the controlled, constant output current (CC / Current Control / Constant Current) for components or assemblies with diode characteristics to protect them from being destroyed by an inrush current. A lower output current rise time also prevents excessive inrush currents, especially with capacitive loads. When the power supply is off or the load is not connected, enabling the bleeder circuit control allows the bleeder resistor to consume the electricity of the filter capacitor. Without the bleeder resistor, the power supply's filter capacitor can still contain electricity, which is a potential hazard. This bleeder resistor enables a faster and safer DUT change (device under test) in automatic test systems.
