Description

GLN-5040A | V-two-wire network simulation (LISN), 16 A, 9 kHz - 30 MHz

The two-wire V-network simulation GLN-5040A is required for EMI tests. Radio interference voltages that are generated by electrical consumers and reach the mains via the power cord can be verified with the help of network simulations and spectrum analyzers / measurement receivers. The GLN-5040A offers a stable impedance for the supply lines of the device under test and with a ground reference within the guided emission range of the DUT (Device Under Test). The GLN5040A isolates the unwanted signals from the supply network or from the power supply unit for supplying the DUT and only couples the voltage disturbances of the device to be measured to the receiver (e.g. network or spectrum analyzer). The GLN5040A meets the requirements of CISPR16-1-2 for V networks with a simulated impedance of 50 µH + 5 Ω || 50 Ω in a frequency range from 9 kHz to 30 MHz. The output impedance is 50 Ω on a BNC connector to achieve impedance matching with spectrum analyzers and other measurement equipment.

A 9 kHz to 150 kHz high-pass filter can be selected by hand, which means that the correct filter can be used for the respective standards. The GLN-5040A is also suitable for measuring the interference voltage on the phases of the device cable.

A large leakage current can occur due to design principles. It is therefore advisable to ground the device during use and, if necessary, to operate it with an isolation transformer. The isolation transformer GIT-5060 delivers an output power of 900 VA and should therefore cover most measuring situations for devices to be measured.
