For checking the electrical safety of single and three-phase electrical equipment. The following is checked in accordance with the regulations:
- Protective conductor resistance
- Insulation resistance
- Substitute leakage current
- Differential current
- Touch current
- Protective conductor current
The METRATESTER 5-3P test case complies with the "Guidelines for the workshop equipment of electrical installation companies" issued by the Federal Installers Committee, ZVEH, WFE, EVUs. Mains connection The test case can be operated either via the two associated mains connection cables on a safety socket or a 16 A CEE mains socket DIN VDE tests without mains operation: protective conductor resistance, insulation resistance, substitute leakage current. DIN VDE tests with mains operation on all single and three-phase devices: residual current, touch current. Functional tests with measurement of current consumption and voltage in phases L1 / L2 / L3 VDE 0104 measured "correctly". Contact surface for finger contact The protective conductor potential can be checked via a contact surface for finger contact. The signal lamp PE lights up if there is a potential difference of more than 100 V between the touched contact surface and the protective contact of the mains connector. Residual current measurement The measurement of the residual current corresponds to the regulation for DIN VDE 0701-0702. Convenient testing All safety and functional tests are carried out in a practical manner by connecting the mains voltage or individual phases to the test objects via changeover switches. Display functions All measured values are displayed on a large digital display so that they are easy to read. In addition, limit violations are signaled optically and partly acoustically. Robust case construction The test case consists of an aluminum frame, whereby the removable lid can be closed. The associated connection adapters and the operating instructions can be accommodated here.
