The clamp current transformer is used to extend the alternating current measuring ranges of measuring devices. In conjunction with a multimeter or similar, alternating currents in cables and busbars can be measured without having to interrupt them. The secondary connection is made via permanently connected cables with touch-protected connector plugs.
