The Chroma 62450D-2000HL is a powerful bi-directional DC power supply that sets new standards in the industry with its exceptional power density and flexibility. This unit delivers an impressive 45 kW of power in a compact 4U format while offering a revolutionary ability to switch between two output ranges. The user can easily switch between a high voltage range (2000 V, ±60 A, 45 kW) and a high current range (650 V, ±180 A, 45 kW), making this power supply particularly versatile and allowing up to eight times wider output range coverage.

This dual range function allows a wide variety of devices under test (DUT) to be tested accurately and efficiently. Particularly noteworthy is the ability to perform this switching directly via the touch panel or remote control, which saves considerable time in automated test environments and avoids errors caused by manual wiring. This significantly increases flexibility and efficiency in the test process, as no additional power supply units are required for different test requirements.

The Chroma 62450D-2000HL also boasts remarkable energy efficiency. With a bidirectional energy conversion efficiency of 94%, it significantly reduces heat loss and helps to recover and feed surplus energy into the grid. This feature makes the device particularly attractive for applications in industrial production, as it helps to save energy as well as reduce operating costs and CO2 emissions.

In addition to its high performance, the power supply unit is equipped with modern functions. It supports both bidirectional source & load mode and separate source or load mode. Furthermore, an advanced battery simulation is integrated as standard, and a solar module simulation can be added as an option. This versatility allows the Chroma 62450D-2000HL to be used in a wide range of applications, including testing onboard chargers and battery systems in electric vehicles, as well as other high-power power applications.

For even greater power requirements, multiple 62450D-2000HL devices can be connected in parallel in a master-slave configuration to achieve higher overall power levels. This flexibility, coupled with the ability to be remotely controlled via Chroma's SoftPanel software, makes the device an ideal solution for highly complex test environments.

The Chroma 62450D-2000HL is therefore not only a powerful and versatile power supply, but also a pioneer for energy-efficient and space-saving solutions in modern test and manufacturing environments.
