Description
62180D-1800 | Power supply unit, bidirectional, DC, 1 channel, 1800V / +/- 40A, 18kW
The bidirectional power supplies of the Chroma ATE 62000D series combine excellent nominal powers from 0 - 1,800 V / up to 540 A / up to 18 kW and are housed in a housing with a high power density of only 3U (3 U).
In simple master / slave parallel and serial operation, several individual devices can be interconnected for total outputs up to 180 kW.
The 62000D series offers two quadrant operation; This means that the devices can work as a DC source and as a DC load, without switching times and thus guarantee a high level of protection for the relevant test objects.
Up to 93% of the power consumed can be fed into the supply network during load operation.
The devices can work in the operating modes constant voltage, constant current and constant power.
The power supplies of the 62000D series are ideal for testing in the field of power supply systems for renewable energies such as PV, storage and EV inverters, and can also be used as a battery simulator.
Using soft panels, they simulate state of charge (SOC) or specific VI curves of the battery characteristics in order to evaluate the charging and discharging of lithium-ion batteries and integrated bidirectional on-board chargers, bidirectional DC converters and DC-AC motor drivers check.
To control complex test sequences, the 62000D series offers automatic sequence programming, programmable voltage and current rise times. A fast control behavior as well as low output noise and low ripple allow precise tests.
USB / LAN and analog interface are available as standard, CAN and GPIB are optionally available.
Its intuitive touchscreen and intelligent user interface significantly shorten the test time and simplify complex test procedures.
The Chroma 62180D-1800 variant has 0… 1800 V, ± 40 A, ± 18 kW. More models are gradually becoming available as well.
Application:
- Charging / discharging test methods and service life test methods, including BOBC, DC-DC conversion and PCS
- Motor driver check for DC-AC power supply and energy recovery
- Pre-conformity test for LV123 and LV148 for testing electrical vehicle components
- Simulation of an IV power source for energy storage, battery and fuel cell in micro network laboratories
- Battery current simulation for checking drive and auxiliary systems for battery-powered vehicles on land, water and in the air
